SAT Math: The Ultimate Guessing Trick
Просмотров 21 млн13 лет назад
Please note: this trick works for the SAT and the ACT, and for any other multiple choice math test as well! Also, as a lot of you have pointed out in the comments, this problem isn't particularly tough - and you're right! I'm just using this problem as an example. This trick is NOT better than just solving the math problem on your own if you know how. It IS a lot better than randomly guessing -...
Bruh if this was the exam in India we students all be passing off.
Meanwhile this is so simple this question is just a^3=3a options are not 0 so cut a from both a^2=3 so, a=√3
2024
Update
i cant find the checklist
Just plug in each answer, only one of them gives a true statement
Or you could just do the question? This one is preety easy...
Dude why don't you just try all of them in a*a*a=a+a+a
Please show tge whole question, i cant get it
a³ = 3a Dividing both sides by a a² = 3 Square rooting both sides a = √3
im the most new comment, if you even read this... this channel might be dead cuz he aint uplodian no mo
Well this question is too easy to guess rather than solving it in 0.2 seconds
wait, negative.
And, being 67 years old, this is going to be a major benefit to me in the rest of my life! 💩💩💩
The real trick is you should learn this stuff in grade 4.
Fun fact: after looking at the question THIS WAS ACTUALLY THE CORRECT ANSWER LOL a x a x a = a + a + a a³=3a a³/a=3a/a a²=3 sqrt both sides a=sqrt3 NICE GUESSING VID
Damn, I still gotta understand math to use this trick.
Where was this stuff when I was in highschool?
I just solved this equation with mental math in 2 mins why would anyone need to guess bro A^3-3A=0 divide whole thing by A A^2-3=0 can be factored to (A+ square root of 3) and (A-square root of 3) and answer is either square root of 3 or negative square root of 3 which is included in square root of 3
You were actually right on that percentage, before the explanation I guessed 3√3 wich was the closest one to the correct answer
a cubed = 3a Divide each side by a A squared = 3 A = sqrt of 3
Literally putting more effort into avoiding the question than it would take to solve it. a³ = 3a -> a²=3 -> a=sqrt(3)
why not just solve this one? a.a.a=a^3 a+a+a=3a a^3=3a divide both sides by a a^2=3 take the square root of both sides a=√3
Why not just solve it instead of guessing? a^3 = 3a a^2 = 3 a = √3
At what point do you just try and learn maths fr lmao
Multiple choice for such important exam allow for such workaround it makes the whole putpose of actually working the topics less and less relevant ... Pityful
... c'mon, we can solve this mathematically! a × a × a = a + a + a is the same as a³ = 3a, divide by a a² = 3, square root a = √3, done.
This is so gross. This is why our profession class is so confidently dumb. 🤣
B is the answer btw Sqrt(3)*sqrt(3)=3 LHS: 3sqrt(3) RHS: sqrt3×3=3sqrt3 So this means yes, it is actually b
I did this on hiring tests lol
Why the F is this multiple choice!?
İn turkey we learn this in middle school, it took me 3 seconds to solve. But nice question either way, would love to have this level of difficulty in turkish university exams
Your explanation is not clear enough to understand this problem.This equation has 3 answers.a•a•a=a+a+a,then it's equal to a³=3a.Which means that a³-3a=0 =a•(a²-3)=0.Now we can see that a=0,or (a²-3)=0.So,our x can be 0,√3,-√3(x=0;x=√3;x=-√3).Now,we solved this problem correctly and in an easy way.
aaa =a+a+a a³ =3a a³ -3a =0 a(a² -3) =0 ☆a=0 a² -3 =0 (a +3⁰•⁵)(a -3⁰•⁵) =0 ☆a =±3⁰•⁵ a³ (3⁰•⁵)³ =(3⁰•⁵)²(3⁰•⁵) =3(3⁰•⁵) =3a Answer: (B)
Ans is root 3
I mean.. 0 is the answer too
Wasn't the answer D? I mean rad3 x rad3 x rad3 should be like 3rad3 and almeno goes when you do the sum
its faster to solve this than apply that bullshit guesswork. is it a comment bait ?
I wish I would’ve known this in high school lol
I'm gonna tell my kids this is machine learning
What about others ?
What if it is not mcq
b
You could also actually do the quadratic formula: a ³=3a a ³ - 3a = 0 √(-b ± √∆ / 2a) and ∆ = b² -4ac= 9 --> √(-(-3) ± √9 / 2) = 0 and √3
How is positive more common when there are 3 negatives
This equation takes 10 seconds tops to answer. Only do this for the ones that aren't obvious.
I did it faster than you by just putting all the values in the equation.
This is literally an at most 3 step problem you can just set it up
It's A?
What's so damn hard in solving it? →a×a×a=a+a+a →a³=3a →a²=3 →a= ±√3 = √3 (since it's the only given answer in the options)
